Shadow of the Tomb Raider
Shadow of the Tomb Raider debuted a story trailer at the Xbox E3 conference.
It looks like this Tomb Raider will have a much darker tone as Lara accidentally triggers an apocalyptic event in her quest to stop Trinity, the mysterious organisation from Rise of the Tomb Raider. Lara must deal with her actions and set things right before it’s too late.
We can expect the game to play similar to the previous entries, with Lara’s new signature weapon, the bow, making a comeback (No dual pistols for the fans of the classics). There were a few new mechanics teased, including a grappling hook that looks similar to the one in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, as well as camouflage that allows Lara to blend into the environment for brutal stealth kills.
Personally, I hope that the side characters are more fleshed out this time, as they have been a consistent weak link in the new series. Overall, I’m looking forward to seeing how the final chapter in Lara’s origin story plays out.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider launches September 14th, 2018 on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC.
