Doom VFR & Fallout 4 VR – E3 2017
The first “new” games shown at Bethesda’s conferences were the (at the moment) HTC Vive exclusives Doom VFR and Fallout 4 VR.
The aptly-named Doom VFR is a warp-shooter (as in, you don’t actually freely move around the stage, but instead “warp” around the arena) based off last year’s Doom reboot/sequel. New weapons were showcased, as well as new levels, while the enemies and high-octane soundtrack remained.
Fallout 4 VR, on the other hand, seemed much more like an actual full VR port of the 2015 title, with new additions such as more precise item placements during base constructions due to the nature of the Vive’s controllers.
There is no release date for Doom VFR, but Fallout 4 VR is confirmed for an October 2017 release.
