Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds will be coming to Xbox One and PC later this year and it looks fantastic. Essentially the hunger games but better, the game is an open battle arena where up to 100 players are dropped onto an island with nothing and forced to scavenge supplies while they kill each other in order to kill each other more. Players have the ability to play in third or first-person depending on their preference, and can also play on their own or in teams. Last man standing wins, with in game currency awarded to players based on how long they survive and how many opponents they killed. Not much else is known about the game, other than that there will be a “safe area” that shrinks over time, with players outside of this area taking continuous damage, in order to make sure that players will actually find each other.
