July ’18 Kickstarter Round-Up

Welcome to WTMG’s Kickstarter Round Up for July 2018. We have a bunch of promising projects for you this month that you can still support to get your hands on.

Raid of Regions

Raid of Regions

Bosses will appear in some of the patrol areas, they give a great amount of reward when defeated.

Raid of Regions is a royale shooter with an emphasis on team-based strategy. There will be 20 players split into teams who will have to fight to gather intel. Not only will you have to worry about other players, but there will also be AI threats and even area bosses to worry about. The blend of PvPvE in the royale genre is intriguing as it alleviates all those times where you’ll go an entire match with only 1 or 2 kills. Once the intel is collected, your team needs to head back to the train to evacuate and claim your victory.

Raid of Regions will also feature classes that you can choose from before a round that will grant passive, but balanced skills. Don’t worry, every character still starts off with only a pistol so a “Sniper” class won’t be picking you off at the start. “At the beginning of every game, players will only be equipped with a low firepower pistol. To acquire stronger weapons with SP, players will need to hunt down enemy players or A.I. machines. There will be multiple areas that machines patrol, players can plan their route so that they can earn SP and intel while approaching the next unlocking “Access Point.'”

Knights of Light

Knights of Light

The game world is an open world that represents the land of Iraq at the seventh century with a huge size of 400 kilometers.

Knights of Light is being developed by Rumbling Games which is based out of Cairo, Egypt. Rumbling is run by only 5 people with the passion to make an epic RPG with inspirations from studios like CD Projekt Red and Ninja Theory. Knights of Light is an action adventure role playing game set in an open world with a narrative historical story.

“Knights of Light is a new game franchise based on the history of the middle east. It covers a time period from early medieval to late medieval ages which is a fresh and original scope that is NEVER introduced before. The story will feature war and conflicts from different perspectives. The player will not find pure angels against worthless barbarians, instead he will face moral and diverse conflicts with deep character development from both his allies and enemies through the campaign.”

Dark Light

Dark Light

Creatures of darkness which are invisible to the naked eye, detected only with the latest drone technology DLS (Detection Light Source) and weaponry.

Dark Light is a horror-action 2D platformer that combines a creative Sci-fi setting with interesting gameplay mechanics. In this post apocalyptic world these mutants are invisible to the human eye. You will need a DLS (Detection Light Source) to shed light on these creatures. But be careful as you will use up energy when shooting and using the DLS and you wouldn’t want to get left in the dark.

As one of elite special forces of ADU (Aerospace Defence Union), you are sent out to hunt the mutants and undead, collect ‘shards’ from their body, and fight for the chance to save what remains of Earth.

Trogdor!! The Board Game

Trogdor The Board Game

How to burninate cottages: Surround, scorch the ground, flip that thatched-up mound. Stop-mo by Graw Mad.

Wow, this brings me back. I think I forgot all about Homestarrunner and the Trogdor the Burninator Song, but with a good dose of nostalgia, here I am listening to it again. Here we have a board game featuring the, uh, dragon man. “For centuries, the legendary wingaling dragon Trogdor the Burninator has terrorized the peasant kingdom of Peasantry with his scorching flames and greased-up beefy arm. Now, he has descended from the mountains once again and will not stop until he burninates the entire countryside and all those unfortunate enough to get in his way!”

You and up to 5 friends take on the roles of a cult of hooded creepos calling themselves the Keepers of Trogdor who have devoted their lives to aiding the mighty dragon in his quest for total and complete burnination.

There are a ton of different models to choose from including a full board game setting made entirely out of cherry wood with special engravings and cut outs that fit the cards and pieces perfectly. Trogdor!! The Board Game is already fully funded completely smashing it’s goal of $75,000 with a total of $868,102.

The Flip Grip  With how popular the Nintendo Switch has become for smaller indies it’s a no brainer that there will be some games that will be better on a vertical screen. The Flip Grip easily hit it’s goal by offering a product that 8,270 backers want. Pledging $140,986 Fangamer destroyed their goal of $42,500.
