E3 2018 – Halo Infinite

To open up Microsoft’s conference we got an interesting teaser for the next Halo installment. It started off by just showing it was an in engine tech demo, but towards the end it pans out with Master Chief standing there, helmet at his waist. Of course the shot was low as to never reveal how ugly MC is, but what was intriguing here is that the armor seemed to be his older set.

The shot then has a wide pan out of a warthog cruising along a path as it slowly pans upward revealing you’re on a Halo ring and then the title pops up: Halo Infinite. While this trailer didn’t explain much, there is a lot of intriguing bits of info here and the fact that halo is getting a brand new engine for its future is delightful.

The official Xbox trailer description reads as: “The Master Chief returns in Halo Infinite – the next chapter of the legendary franchise. Developed by 343 Industries and created with our new Slipspace Engine. This thrilling engine demo provides a glimpse into the future of the Halo franchise, leading it into new and unexpected directions. Xbox One and Windows 10 Exclusive.”

This will also mark the first time Halo will launch on PC alongside its console counterpart which is fantastic for the PC folks out there.
