Review – Human Fall Flat (Switch 2)
Human: Fall Flat is one of those games that quietly exceeded expectations, all the way back in its original release, a decade ago, sticking around far longer and reaching a much bigger audience than anyone probably imagined at first. This physics-based puzzle adventure now lands on the Nintendo Switch 2, bringing along every update and extra level that has been added since its original release back in 2016. So, is this title still worth checking out after all these years?
Human: Fall Flat feels like a perfect fit for the Nintendo Switch 2 and portable play in general. I ended up trying it in just about every situation I could think of. At home, obviously. On a bus, why not. On a plane, almost immediately after sitting down. I played it handheld, docked, pretty much everywhere, so it ended up being a bit of a stress test without me even planning it that way.
So the big question is, how does it hold up? Honestly, surprisingly well. This is not exactly the most demanding game out there, but there are still moments where a lot is happening at once. Even then, the frame rate stays steady, which makes the whole experience feel smooth no matter where or how you are playing.
It’s honestly tough to say much about Human: Fall Flat that hasn’t already been covered in our original review from nearly ten years ago. What I can say is that it still absolutely lives up to its name in the best way, and remains incredibly satisfying to play, especially on the Nintendo Switch 2. If you’ve been holding off for any reason, this really feels like the perfect time to jump in. There’s so much content here now, and the pick up and play nature makes it easy to get hooked. It’s the kind of puzzle game that’s easy to lose track of time with, and well worth diving into just to see what kind of chaos you can create along the way.

Graphics: 8.5 Human: Fall Flat still looks great, arguably on par with my experience from Xbox Series X while docked, at the very least. |
Gameplay: 10 Every puzzle makes sense, even if it is slightly mind bending in some cases. The only parts of this game I found frustrating was from my own doing, not because the game is unfair. |
|
Sound: 7.5 The ambient sounds and music are there, they’re nothing overly special, but they are still adding a fair bit to the experience. |
Fun Factor: 9.0 Genuinely one of the most fun puzzle games available, and it’s able to be played co-op. |
|
Final Verdict: 9.0
